When Nylune and the alpha king, Deltta Kohle are caught in a compromising situation his life is turned upside down. Not only does he go into prolonged heat, but the whole planet also goes crazy: the public demands for the removal of omegas from high-ranking jobs and the ruling council declares that omegas of age – those about to enter their first heat cycle, leave their homes and move into commune houses. Worse, his family and long-term beta boyfriend abandon him and Nylune is forced to live alone in his house because of his prolonged heat. He can’t live in a commune house or find a job since he goes into heat four times a day.
But living in the house alone is not so bad. He has his garden, his job of reviewing pleasuring bots and Hazi, his cousin. Adew Pax’s fight with Djohn Moulekk was the worst moment of his UA career. Not only did he lose epically in front of the whole planet and almost decapitated himself while he tried to get out of Djohn’s pressure hold, because, of course, he didn’t know when to quit, he became a pity case when the results came in that he might never walk on his own again. After a year of staying in the health centre, Adew had had enough. He discharges himself from the centre and moves into a house where the media, his parents and Urim, the omega he rejected wouldn’t find him. Adew wants nothing but to focus on training and getting himself back to where he was in his career. Except things don’t go as planned – his pet finds his way next door and brings him all kinds of trouble in the form of an omega suffering from prolonged heat and the omega caught his scent.
“He needs an alpha,” Dr Micha turned and stared at him. “And you are it.”
And just like that, Adew is roped into some experiment to cure the omega of his prolonged heat. The experiment turns into something more as Adew claims him by accident and discovers something he never imagined – Nylune is his true mate.
Adew desperately wants to hold on to Nylune. But Nylune is not an ordinary omega. He’s someone who can end his career before its resurrected.
