Under The Mistletoe

Royce:
It’s no secret to those who know me how much I hate Christmas. I have a list of reasons as long as my arm, and just when I think this time of year couldn’t get any worse, the Universe throws me a curve ball like this. One in which I’m stranded in the middle of nowhere on Christmas Eve with no place to stay.
Then I meet her.
She’s everything that I’m not and something I never saw coming. I can feel her slowly melting away the ice around my frozen heart and signing her name over it, claiming it as her own.
Since I arrived in this town, I’ve wanted out as quickly as possible, but she might just be the one thing that makes me want to stay.

Lorna:
I’ve always lived by the mentality of ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you’, which is exactly why I can’t let him spend Christmas sleeping on the streets.
The second I laid eyes on him I knew he wasn’t just another drifter through town, but I never accounted for the handsome stranger to steal my heart as easily as he did.
He’s set my soul on fire, made himself at home in my life like he’s always been a part of it. But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and saying goodbye is going to hurt even worse than I imagined.
