The scowling vision before him was blunt, to the point he found himself amused by the things that came out of her mouth, and unfiltered, a feat he greatly admired and desired in a mate. But for all that she appeared forthright, his Vivienne’s eyes told another story. His piece of sunshine was wary, a secret sadness in those large, beguiling eyes that made the Troll all the more determined to win her over. He didn’t simply wish his Queen to want him back, he wanted her to crave him with her next breath, to wish to claim her Troll King with equal fervor.
She may not be aware of it yet, but her Troll-intended had every confidence he could convince his reluctant Queen to come around to her destiny. He would show her just how well met they were, that he was the only one for her.
He did not simply wish to conquer his lady, he meant to make her Queen of his heart.
