Love at First Spark

Single and ready to mingle. Or at least that’s what my best friends think I should be.

When I suggested to my group of friends for us to try new things because our twenties had almost slipped right past us, I’d imagined us going on some girls’ trips or at the very least trying out new food spots. Instead, one by one, since Halloween, each of my girls not only found the one,but they fell in love at first sight.
Now, on the eve of some speed dating event the week before Valentine’s Day, I literally bump into someone who makes me think maybe, just maybe, happily ever afters are possible. He’s everything I could have ever asked for. Older and charming, Caleb Walker takes my breath away while we dance in the rain by the lake. Lightning strikes and sparks fly!

But will this single dad with a dirty mouth who insists I call him daddy still think it’s love at first spark after the lightning storm ends and he finds out who I really am? Or will life and reality get in the way?
