She came to Vale Crossing for a fresh start. She never expected to fall for a dragon.

Zara left the Upperworld for a job in a secret place where monsters live openly, and magic is part of everyday life. With rare abilities and fierce devotion to her triplet siblings, she’s determined to build a future on her own terms.

Hektor leaves Drakkoria with a broken heart and no intention of ever loving again. Control, discipline, and distance are how he survives—until Zara.

Working side by side, her bold warmth collides with his guarded fire. What starts as attraction becomes something neither of them can ignore, especially since Zara knows exactly what she wants, and she has no intention of letting him keep running.

But in a land where they are tracking powerful magical halflings, duty collides with desire. As Hektor wrestles with the past he fled and the expectations he refuses to claim, Zara holds fast to everything she hopes they could become. Together, they must decide whether love has a place in a world built on ancient magic, unfinished battles, and destinies that refuse to stay buried.

Because sometimes the greatest power isn’t magic or fire, it’s choosing each other.
