Six months ago, Nora ran from her manipulative fiancé after she caught him cheating… again. Now, she finds herself stranded in a small Oklahoma town, waitressing to earn money for car repairs. Never staying in one place too long for fear of her ex finding her, she keeps a low profile and avoids attachments.
Until Tucker Harlow.
The surly veteran is rude and aloof, and a regular at the pub where she works. But trying to avoid the undeniable attraction she feels toward him becomes harder with each heated glance and sweet gesture.
When a video of the pub being robbed goes viral, it doesn’t take long for her ex to track her down, and she finds out he’s put her in the middle of a multi-million dollar insider trading scheme. He’s desperate, and she’s out of time.

A year ago, Tucker was severely injured in a compromised mission in Qatar, resulting in a career-ending leg injury and the death of his teammate and friend. Now, he battles his own demons and daily physical pain at the family ranch he never wanted to be part of long term.
Until he and his sister happen upon a beautiful redhead broken down on the side of the road one night.
She’s beautiful and curvy, and now works at the pub he uses as his escape from his well-meaning but overwhelming family. Believing himself to be broken, he tries to ignore the pull he feels to her, but her sweetness and her smile slowly break through his self-imposed isolation.
When he finds out Nora’s criminal ex is looking for her, his new mission is to protect her with the help of his family and connections. He realizes she’s become a healing light in his dark world and he’ll do anything for her.
