Devin doesn’t need anyone or anything since being neglected by both sides of his heritage. The Night Fae despise him almost as much as his human father had, and as far as he’s concerned both can go to hell. He certainly doesn’t need the combative and sharp-tongued Miranda tempting him to lower his defenses—her lips are temptation enough. But as he spends time with Miranda, she awakens something far worse than lust. Hope. He knows it’s foolish to crave her acceptance when his own father cast him aside, but a part of him can’t help pining for a life he never thought possible.
