He needs redemption. I need revenge. Too bad only one of us will survive.

Ever since my mentor’s murder, I’ve had one goal: kill the Elf King. I’ll need every magic sigil I know because not only is he an arrogant ass, he shifts into a first class shadow daddy. I don’t give up, even when I fail at my first attempt at murder. I’m used to being underestimated.
But no matter how many times I try to kill him, he laughs it off. He grins when I track him down on his quest to win back his kingdom. He smirks through every one of my attempts at slaying. Even unlocking my hidden power with his first-class schlongasaurus brings out a chuckle. The absolute nerve of this guy!
He tells me I can help him save the Harrowlands from ruin. I tell him he’ll lead me straight to mine. Then he confesses we’re mates—and the attempted murder really turns him on. Which only makes me want to stab him repeatedly. Nevermind his cunning, his protection, even his Godds-cursed plant obsession are starting to grow on me. I’ll fall for him over his dead body.

Killing him was meant to be my greatest accomplishment—being his queen might just be my undoing.
