It’s hard being somewhat famous, but it’s even harder having a famous ex who just announced his relationship with a mega star. Being tagged and constantly mentioned in conjunction to them while seeing their photos and interviews blasted everywhere is a lot to handle.
I was well over him before they got started – the only residual feeling I have left is the desire to punch his smug face. The bullies on social media and beyond refuse to believe that I don’t care. One bad moment caught on video forces me to drop everything and run off to Dallas, Texas to hide. Exhausted, I check out one of those “No Technology” retreats in the outskirts of Dallas.
Love is the last thing I’d expect to find while unplugged from society, but after colliding with the stranger who helped me once before, I must take time to actually notice him. Begrudgingly, I’m forced to admit that there is something about Cole Heywood that makes my heart race.
Once his sister-in-law, Violet, accepts my offer to start the Dallas division of The Plucking Ladies Garden Club, I had another reason to stay in Dallas and by his side.
