Protect, honor, obey, and serve.

Four words that haunt me.
Four words that remind me of my failures.
Four words I’ll need to recall time and time again when I face my demons head-on.

They say you’ll never master your future if you’re a slave to your past, but that shouldn’t count for the people who sacrificed too much to leave their past behind. Melody isn’t a girl I once loved. She’s a woman I pledged to protect no matter what, a woman I’d die for, so when push comes to shove, not even the law will stop me from upholding the vows I made when I was only a child.

By not leaving my past in the past, I may destroy my future, but I’d rather lose tomorrow than have yesterday taken away because what’s coming isn’t always better than what is gone.

My life-long relationship with Melody is living proof of this.

Quiet Protector is a gripping romantic suspense about forgiveness, betrayal, and how justice is better served when it’s handed down by those feeling the pain. It has scenes that may be distressing to some readers. Caution is advised.
