A Dream of You
Gabriel
“When you love someone, you fight for them. No matter what.”
I have a good life complete with a great family, a rewarding job, and all the designer labels I could want. When my best friend lands the man of his dreams, it leaves me longing for someone to love. Hitting the big four-oh makes me realize how lonely I am but I’m not sure a meaningful relationship and my special brand of kink are compatible. I’m completely aware of the cute, young grocery store clerk crushing on me, but I’ve gotten used to a merry-go-round of short-lived relationships. He makes it hard not to fall for him, and I’m prepared to go into battle to show him that he deserves to be loved.

“I’d never had anyone make me feel the way Gabriel does—like an alive, sensual being.”
Life has always been a thing to survive and not enjoy. The absence of my father and being abandoned by my drug-addicted mother left emotional scars on my soul I don’t think I can overcome. The world is too terrifying for me and although I long to be with someone, my anxiety and fear of being discarded all over again has left me painfully alone. There is one bright spot in my dreary existence—Mr. Dreamy, the sexiest man I’ve ever laid eyes on. But he could never be interested in a damaged boy like me, right?
We agree to take this slow, but things quickly heat up and we’re left wondering: Can we be each other’s dream come true?
