Ocean's Lost Octopus

Ocean lost his octopus and found his new daddy.

To look at me, you’d think I was a daddy. I wear my custom suits to my corner office, where I’m vice president of one of the largest companies in the city. I’m the boss, the one telling everyone else what to do and when. I’m great at what I do and love my job.
But when I go home, I long for nothing more than to put on some footie jams, snuggle my octopus stuffie, and let someone else take care of me. I had a daddy once, and it was wonderful…until he decided he wanted to settle down and have a family, one that would include a stay-at-home spouse. In other words, someone who wasn’t me.
Three years later, he is married with kids and the stay-at-home husband he always wanted, and me? I’m alone in my fancy apartment every night, including the one a faulty fire alarm has me evacuating, my octopus tucked in my pocket.
Only when we get the all-clear and I go back upstairs, I discover my octopus is missing.
