They say grief is love with nowhere to go, I say it blackens the soul and helps you channel the darkness, a darkness he was wrapped in and dragged me under with him. It kept me there to the point I no longer knew what the light was, but I wasn’t codenamed after the Goddess of night without reason.
That was until our unit was hunting down the one responsible for taking him, an international terrorist who was a threat to us all. But all wasn’t what it seemed. I thought I gave my heart to a demon, but it seems as though it’s the devil whose claws have torn it to shreds.
Loyalties will be tested, trust will be broken, and faith requires my hand before I jump off the ledge with it.
