Traviel the Elf lives an idyllic life in Vale Valley with his true mate, Elarian. They spend their days communing with nature and exploring the wonders of their town. After finding out Elarian is expecting their first child, everything seems perfect.

Struggling to make ends meet, aspiring author Travis finds solace writing about the adventures of his fictional elven counterpart. Traviel blissfully leads the life Travis wishes he could. But ever since he saved a stranger from an oncoming bus, Travis has started to have vivid dreams about his fictional world. After someone mistakenly calls him Traviel, Travis becomes convinced that Vale Valley is real. If that’s true, then Elarian could be there, waiting for his mate to find him.
And that’s exactly what Elarian is doing… some of the time.
Traviel has been randomly vanishing, only to reappear hours later, with no memory of where he was. As his pregnancy advances, Elarian becomes increasingly afraid that one of these days his alpha will disappear for good. And then, a human comes to town, weaving an incredible tale. But when he vanishes and Traviel takes his place, Elarian is forced to believe the impossible…
