He was the one person I could rely on growing up… until I wanted more. Now he has a thousand excuses why we can’t be together.

Kaylee

Micah held me through every heartbreak, the one person who saw me when no one else did.

We started a band as kids, chasing dreams. Somewhere along the way, friendship turned into something more.

Now I’m nineteen and I know exactly what I want. So does he.

But Micah keeps hiding behind excuses. I’m too young, the media will tear us apart, we’ll be ruining our friendship, it could break up the band.

I know the truth: Micah is scared.

I’m done waiting. I’m willing to risk everything for us. The question is… is he?

Micah

Being with Kay is the worst idea…an idea I can’t stop craving.

She’s nineteen. The tabloids would eviscerate us. We’d be ending a friendship I cherish more than anything. It could destroy the band, the family, we built together.

But I want to run my hands through those red curls, to lose myself in those green eyes. I want her in ways that keep me up at night, hating myself.

I tell myself I’m protecting her. That I’m doing the right thing. That I shouldn’t be selfish. I can’t ask her to risk it all, just for me.

Because if we try and fail…

…we’ll lose everything that ever mattered to us.

Hard Rock Temptation is the 3rd book in the Until We Break rock star romance series. It is part of the Athena Wright Hard Rock ‘verse but can be read as a standalone.
