He nearly died for his mistakes. She lost everything to an injury.
Now, one step too close could destroy them both.

After a near-fatal overdose, Mateo Sanchez is clawing his way back from the edge. Banished from his old life and buried beneath the weight of family shame, he finds himself in New York with a shattered reputation and a past he can’t run away from. Dance is the only thing that ever made him feel alive.

Vaeda Lewis built her career on discipline and control. As co-owner of one of the city’s most elite studios, she vowed to keep her professional life separate from the chaos of emotion. Especially when that chaos arrives in the form of a scandal-wrapped prodigy, threatening the life she’s worked hard to salvage.

When Mateo auditions for her studio, everything unravels. The chemistry between them is undeniable. The rules that separate them are clear, but desire has a way of bending boundaries, and one stolen moment leads to another. They’re teacher and student, married and recovering, and a decade of years spanning between them. Yet every time they step onto the floor, the lines blur.

As the countdown to an elite competition in Paris looms, the stakes grow higher, the secrets run deeper, and the pull between them becomes impossible to resist.
One wrong step could ruin everything.
