My dad called in a favor. Asked me to talk to my stepsister, Wynter. She’s been spiraling—partying too hard, picking fights at home, making one reckless choice after another. If she doesn’t pull it together soon, she’ll be out on the street. And knowing the crowd she runs with… that won’t end well.
The thought of her crashing and burning doesn’t sit well. So I’m stepping in.
But…
Wynter is stubborn—sharp tongue, sharper attitude. Pushing every button I’ve got. She makes me think she needs a dose of some tough love. Which is why I’m bringing her to the MC. The Savage Knights won’t put up with her attitude. And neither will I.
But when Wynter moves into my room and into my space—sharing the same bed— I’m the one who forgets what’s good for the girl.
Thoughts shift.
