She’s a mystery I can’t solve.

My job is to protect and serve, but I’m crossing all sorts of lines just to get closer to her. Watching her when she doesn’t know it.
She unexpectedly shows up on my doorstep wearing a sundress so sweet, all I want to do is rip it off her. But I send her away, too worried and tied up in knots with this thing inside of me. It’s in overdrive when it comes to Olive Trejo and won’t be reined in. My too-sweet and mouthy-for-her-own-good little baker has no idea she’s awakened a monster inside of me that’s so obsessed, just a taste of her won’t ever be enough.
For her sake, I can’t get too close. Not yet. The mountain town of Moonlit Pines might see me as a good guy next door, but I’m a wolf in sheep’s clothing. My tastes lean towards something a little darker, and I have a dirty secret that no one knows about.
