He’s engineered for perfection. She’s living proof that imperfection is beautiful.
Gara isn’t a leader: he’s a healer clone, and a basic one at that. The more the tiny human Arra-bellah pushes, the more Gara closes down, but he secretly admires the strength in her undefeatable attitude and boundless creativity.

What’s he hiding under those thick scales?
Arabella admits it: she’s fascinated by the aliens who crashed into her best friend’s barn. Especially the grouchy green one, Gara, who stirs the artist in her to paint at last. The more she pushes to learn about him, the more he backs away, but is it really hatred driving his actions, or is he hiding something else?

Can her boundless heart find room for a big, grumpy alien?
An accident and a leadership challenge brings them together, but Gara has a secret, one he hopes the others never learn; it might be his fault they’re exiled in the first place…
