Loving Trent
Trent
From the moment I realized I was gay, I knew that I would never be accepted by my religious family. What I didn’t know was that they would send me away to a place that was hell on earth. Now that I’m older, I’m on a mission to find the people who hurt me and make sure they never hurt another child. I can’t start living my life until I put my past to rest.
After running into multiple dead ends, I’ve accepted that this isn’t something I can do on my own. Accepting help should’ve made this easier but it is taking me back to the one place I don’t want to go.
My hometown.
The place I was forced to leave and where the boy who started this all still lives.
Shawn
Since figuring out I liked boys I’ve always chosen the wrong guy to give my heart to. From my straight best friend to men who hurt me in every way possible. I’m the first person to stand up for my family and friends but I can’t find the strength to stand up for myself.
After breaking up with yet another abusive boyfriend my whole life is thrown into a tailspin when I find myself trapped in my burning apartment building. The only reason I make it out alive is because of an angel with brown eyes.
But I can’t find him.
Just as I’ve given up hope of finding the man who saved me, a trip to see my family leads me to meet a handsome stranger with brown eyes. Could it be my angel? Does he feel the spark between us or is it just me?
They say you can’t always run from your past.
Can we overcome ours?
Or
Will it be what drives us apart?
