Amelia was from a family of privilege, but she never fit in. She was short, full-figured, and cared about others’ feelings. The final straw was her sister’s intentional act of cruelty towards a man she’d never even met. Amelia decided to leave the toxic family and find her own place in the world, but first, she had to inform the man of her sister’s betrayal.

Jaylen should have been angry with the news Amelia brought him, but all he could feel was intense attraction for her. Everything he learned about the woman made his emotions soar and his determination to keep her intensified. It took patience and care to get through the walls she’d built to protect herself for her to finally give him a chance.

When her family tries to come between them, he hopes their bond will be strong enough to keep them together.
