Car Wash

The car wash was supposed to be a lighthearted sorority fundraiser.

Buckets and sponges on a sunny day.

Good, clean fun.

Then my dad’s best friend shows up.

He is no longer the sweet, kind man I used to know.

The look in his eyes is anything but sweet.

It’s dark. Dirty. Possessive.

He’s watching me with protective eyes, growling any time someone with a bucket gets too close to me…

Looking at me like I’m the only thing worth touching in this whole parking lot…

Every girl in my sorority wants to wash his car, but he only wants me.
