When my bookshop on the outskirts of the Magic Quarter was vandalized, I didn’t expect that the head of Palace Security would come to investigate. Nor did I expect that he would be a Shifter. An Alpha Shifter. The President’s brother.
Tall, dark and broody, he was the man of my dreams. Or he would have been, if he wasn’t so impossibly bossy and arrogant. I was ready to send him on his way.
Then things got strange. Someone was out to hurt me.
The annoying Alpha showed he could be caring. Protective. He sent me gifts.
Me. A failed Witch, with no talent.
A human.
But before I could figure out if there was anything between us, I had to find out who was targeting me. And why my powers had started to manifest.

The last thing I expected when I went to investigate a burglary was to find my mate in the vandalized bookstore.
One look at her face, one hint of her luscious scent and I knew she was mine. As did the Beast that lived inside me. The one I could never let out.
She was intelligent. Beautiful. Powerful. And now that I’d found her I wasn’t going to let her go. I was going to find a way…. somehow… to make her mine. I just needed to stop the Beast from getting out.
First though, I had to keep her safe.
My mate was in danger. And I was born to protect her.
