As Zak Hall finishes up his residency, he accepts a generous offer to establish his medical practice in Bear Creek. With a unique degree that enables him to treat all of the small town’s citizens, including bears, Zak anticipates the successful launch of his professional career. As a quasi-shifter who has no bear, he’s wary of frequent interaction with shifters and is resolved to blend in with the human population as he’s always done.
Meanwhile, at the orphanage for shifter cubs, Orrin Crosby is busy caring for little ones who are waiting for their forever home. While careful not to play favorites, he becomes attached to two of the children that his bear insists are theirs. Orrin had always assumed he’d be mated before starting a family, but as he and the children grow closer, there’s no doubt that they belong together.
When an accident injures one of the children, Orrin brings her to Zak’s new clinic where both men are forced to acknowledge their mutual attraction. Adding little ones to the mix only complicates their budding romance, but caution soon yields to the promise of a future they had never expected.

Welcome back to Bear Creek for an unconventional romance, sweet orphans, and a group of new dads who get to celebrate Father’s Day for the first time! (Book four of the Holiday Mates series. Contains steamy M/M content.
