Balance
Lily
Leaving my seemingly wonderful life behind might seem like a mistake to everyone else, but I knew it was time to leave.
Getting fired from my dream job as an elementary school teacher, being cheated on, my best friend moved away, AND I have been blocked from seeing my foster mother because her “real kids” hate me.
I just get in my car and drive and drive, hoping to land somewhere with a decent school system.
Of course I end up in Minnesota, where the teachers apparently never retire and no jobs open up. Right when I’m about to give up… I get offered a nanny position to a man that has declined every single woman that my company has sent to him.
He’s important enough for me to have to sign an NDA before I arrive to his fancy, gated community… but I’m screwed no matter what. I love his little girls, and I’m terrified that I might just end up falling for him, too.
