Niko Kemper always did things his way. Years ago, he turned down a full scholarship to play lacrosse and enlisted in the Navy instead, shocking his parents and hometown. If that wasn’t enough, after serving the country for four years, he returned home with full custody of his one-year-old son, who no one knew existed.
Now, in his senior year of college and final year as the captain of the lacrosse team, something happened that Niko didn’t expect, and it was the catalyst to a chain of events he never imagined.
In the fourth grade, Aranda ‘Randi’ Sampson fell in love with lacrosse, and it quickly took over her life. After a successful college career, she was set to move on to the next level until an injury forced her to put the sticks down.
After a few months of wallowing in self-pity, Aranda was determined to find a way to keep lacrosse in her life. She applied for a coaching position at her alma mater, Black Elm University, and was offered a job she considered the opportunity of a lifetime.
From their first meeting, sparks flew, but not in a good way. However, with each encounter, the sexual tension between them increased. Lines are crossed, but one has much more to lose than the other.
