POPPY
When I wrote my life plan and aspirations down during my senior year, get a divorce and move back into my childhood bedroom with my son in tow was not listed. But that’s exactly what I’m doing and I’m hating every second of it.
Everyone has welcomed me back offering shoulders to cry on and helping hands, but none more than Parker Ramsey. It seems no matter where I go in this small town, there he is with his charming smile and jolly demeanor.
He’s still the same sweet boy he was all those years ago in math class with a few notably sexy differences. I don’t know if he can heal these wounds, but maybe I should let him try.

PARKER
I’ve been in love with Poppy Jameson since before I could solve for x. Having spent much of the math class we shared together staring at her, I’m surprised I even learned to do that.
It broke my heart to watch her move away, to become someone else’s wife. I was a shy thing, never quite able to tell her how I felt. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to get over her, but never quite succeeded in doing that either.
Now she’s back and wounded and so sad. I’d do just about anything to make her happy again. But part of me just keeps thinking about making her mine. And I’m not the same shy boy I used to be.
