Falling for Her

Born and bred, the club was in my veins,

And I couldn’t wait to become a club brother.

They were my support and my family, and I was proud to be a part of them.

They say jump; I’d ask how high because, through thick and thin,

We’re a family, and we do anything for our family.

Until my Pres and father asked something of me that made me question everything.

And for the first time in my life, I wanted nothing more than to turn them down,

But my patch was threatened unless I did as they asked.

They promised it would only be a few months,

But years later, I feel like my life was no longer my own,

I feel like my family had betrayed me while I had to lie to my best friend,

And I didn’t want to be a brother any longer.

I wanted to have fun and get the years I lost back,

Then I met her….

I was mesmerized, and instantly, she was all I saw.

Much to my club’s despair,

I didn’t want her involved with them,

I didn’t want her to meet the family that betrayed me,

Whereas my family thinks she could bring me back to the club.

But then she’s put in danger, and my best friend stands by me,

Showing me that the club is behind me, behind us.

However, is it possible for me to forgive and move on,

Or have the events been too significant?

Growing up, all I knew was love.

My parents were everything, and they taught me right from wrong.

They taught me how to be a hard worker,

Ensuring I knew how to live for myself but, more importantly,

To look after myself.

They ensured I never took life for granted, living it to the fullest,

While my momma ensured I had a passion,

And there was nothing I wanted more than to bake.

My family, school, and baking were all I focused on.

Until him.

He came out of nowhere and ensured to instill himself into my life.

He became my whole world.

And although he was struggling with something I was not privy to,

Even if he kept part of his life from me,

He still made me his universe.

And everything was perfect until it wasn’t.

My life was put in danger, and I didn’t know why.

I was just a simple girl falling in love,

Yet I had a target on my back.

And for some reason, I wasn’t scared.

I knew he’d protect me, that he’d always protect me,

And in return, I’ll always protect him too,

No matter the cost.
