Injured UFC fighter, Julie Jacobs, travels to Colorado to recuperate and get healthy. She doesn’t expect the town to be so rustic that they don’t even have paved roads, she doesn’t expect the people there to be so weird, and she certainly doesn’t expect to be bitten. When she wakes up in a jail cell, two things become immediately clear: the man standing on the other side of the bars is the sexiest man she’s ever encountered and he’s completely insane.

Pack alpha, Axel Montgomery, is a simple man and his main, his only, purpose in life is keeping his pack safe and the existence of werewolves secret from humans. Julie Jacobs is headstrong, powerful, and she doesn’t listen to a damn thing he says. He should hate her for endangering his pack, but she challenges him in a way no one ever has before and hate is the last thing he feels for her, no matter how many times she reminds him it’s exactly what she feels for him.

Nothing will ever be simple for Julie or Axel again. Not only do they have nosy paparazzi on their tails, but there’s a whole world of intrigue and politics among the werewolves that they’re going to have to navigate to figure out how to survive. If the situation gets truly desperate, Julie just might have to admit she’s glad Axel seems determined never to leave her side. She can’t stand him, but he sure is easy on the eyes.
