Spade

Spade had a bit of a problem around women who made him nervous—he talked too much. He couldn’t seem to turn off his mouth when he got around a woman that he found attractive and God he found Cynthia to be hot as hell. Spade knew that asking her out wasn’t the best idea, but he just couldn’t stop the words from coming out of his mouth. And when she turned him down flat, using the excuse that she didn’t date clients, he was almost ready to give up—almost.
Cynthia knew that swearing off men for a whole year was going to be tough, but the guys in town didn’t really interest her. She was taking time for herself and with six months left to go, she was feeling pretty confident that she’d cross the finish line without a man. But then, Spade walked into the tattoo parlor she worked at, and damn if she was ready to throw out her plan of working on herself. He was just her type, but she knew that going out with him would end with a broken heart—hers. That was the way it usually worked and if she didn’t stick to her guns now, she’d never be able to completely trust herself around men again.
