Hannah Spencer is the type of woman I consciously try to avoid.
She is everyone’s definition of perfection.
Smart. Helpful. Kind. Good-natured. A people pleaser.
She is also my younger sister’s best friend so I happen to run into her every once in a while.
The last time we saw each other I did something terrible and she surprised me by keeping it a secret.
Five years later, she walks into my bar demanding things from me.
I have enough self-awareness to know I am not the man who she thinks I hide somewhere deep inside.
And it’s about time she found that out too.

Hannah
Tyler Hartley is my childhood crush that turned into an obsession.
Reckless. Impulsive. Funny. Wild.
Nothing like my current boyfriend.
Five years ago he hurt me so much that I finally gave up on him and the illusion we would end up together.
Now his sister needs him to step up and act like a decent older brother, and I am determined to make that happen one way or the other.
I am not the gullible little girl I used to be. He won’t be able to charm his way into my heart again.
Or so I hope.
