After my sister passed, I never expected her best friend to show up on my doorstep with a baby.

Despite my Navy SEAL training, the shock of Emily’s death still lingered with me as I walked to the door.

When I opened it, Allison was the last person I wanted to see.

She had always been Emily’s close friend, but I know she’s never liked me.

We slept together once, but it never went anywhere.

I’m sure she still resents my selfish ways.

I was speechless when Allison told me the baby was Emily’s daughter.

And Emily wanted me to raise her.

It was hard to learn that my sister hid her pregnancy from me.

It’s been even more difficult caring for my niece, Maddie, by myself.

So when Allison suggests we live together for a bit, I agree.

I figured staying with Allison would be challenging, but I’m lost without her.

The way she smiles at me when I’m holding Maddie makes me feel complete.

And the more time we spend together as a family, the harder I fall.

When she straddles me, the fire in her jade eyes burns with an undeniable hunger I can’t resist.

And in that moment, our bodies fused together in perfect harmony.

I wish I could offer Allison more.

I’m afraid my trauma will ruin us.

I could never forgive myself if I hurt Allison.

This book puts a unique spin on the doorstep baby trope, delivering it in a non-traditional way with an unexpected twist. Between explosive chemistry and emotional baggage, Jacob and Allison will have you swooning, panting, and moved by a romance that tugs at your heart. So grab a box of tissues and get ready for a steamy, unforgettable ride.
