Here it was again: the impossible situation.

The Feds have taken a renewed interest in the spate of criminal activity in Quebec, and Mathias Beauvais, a consigliere in the Montreal mafia, discovers it’s not just him they’re after. Can he deal to this challenge like the ones before, or is it possible he’s no longer the man he once thought he was?
Despite his desire for a new life, Rayan Nadeau’s past has caught up to him, and he’s thrown back into the very world he tried to escape. With Mathias willing to put Rayan’s freedom before his own, he may have to abandon all hope of them remaining together.
Inspector Frances Allen is a seasoned federal officer with a reputation to uphold. When she’s called in to head the investigation into Mathias, she quickly discovers that she’s met her match in the imposing mafioso. As their game of cat and mouse turns deadly, Frances is forced to question not only her commitment to the job but her own sense of justice.
