My name is Demitri Pavlov.

My father was the head of the Bratva for the east coast. He ruled the area with an iron fist, bringing in drugs, women, and murder. I wanted nothing to do with it. When he died, the family fell apart. I had freedom for the first time in my life.
I’ve learned not to trust anyone. Finding someone who shares that philosophy? Who wants no strings and no commitment? And a desire that matches mine? Perfect.
Mia Alexander fit the bill for all of my fantasies. She wanted the same things I did. Her own past creating invisible chains around her heart.
After breaking my own rules and falling for Mia, she’s in danger because of me. I’m being pulled back into the life I fought so hard to leave behind. And they will use Mia against me if they have to. Because I’m never going to be truly free. My name ensures that.
But I’ll be damned if Mia is hurt because of me.
I’ll make sure the world burns before that happens.
My name is Demitri Pavlov. And I will protect what is mine.

Author’s note: This is a secret relationship, protector, with a side of family and past trauma and a dash of Mafia book. Content warnings prior to first chapter.
