How much redemption will it take to make him worthy of love?

Alpha wolf shifter Silas knows he was never meant to be the hero, but he doesn’t mind being the villain. After all, it got him what he’s always wanted in the end—power. With his old rival permanently out of the way, Silas finally took over as the Alpha of the Overlands pack, on top where he’s always belonged. But he’s disappointed to find that it doesn’t feel as good as he thought it would. There’s infighting among the disjointed pack, petty squabbles and clashing egos, and now he’s expected to keep them all in line? Where’s the love and loyalty? This doesn’t feel like a home, like a family, not the way the Grim Wilds pack does.
The Grim Wilds pack doesn’t even like him, but they’ve still shown him more respect than his own pack of near strangers. He finds himself coming up with excuses to be close to them, and maybe, just maybe… he can convince them of a more permanent solution.
When Silas hears they’re planning to go after the lost members of their family, being held in a private lab, he doesn’t hesitate to volunteer to go undercover. Risking his life for a dangerous mission? Perfect. This is his chance to show that he could be a useful member of their pack. Because maybe he doesn’t want to be Alpha anymore, not when he could have a family, somewhere that feels like he belongs.
Because all the power in the world means nothing when you don’t have anyone to share it with.
Fate has put him right where he’s meant to be.
