Alyssa Roebach was excited to stand by her best friend, Brynne, as she took on her new role as the head of the Bianchi family. However, Alyssa didn’t expect to encounter a dark-haired mafia enforcer who immediately tried to break down her defenses. As a child of divorce, Alyssa has always avoided commitment. She’s determined not to fall for a man who could hurt her or get involved in anything resembling a relationship to the outside eye. But it seems like she won’t have a choice in the matter.

Dante Ricci, a man of strength and resilience, is instantly captivated by Alyssa. He’s prepared to embark on the most demanding mission of his life: to win her heart. Having experienced the pain of loss firsthand, Dante lives each day to its fullest. However, his pursuit of Alyssa proves to be more challenging than he initially anticipated. Yet, he remains steadfast in his belief that he’s the right man for the task and refuses to give up. As resolute as Alyssa is in her attempts to repel him, Dante is equally determined to make her his.

*Dante and Alyssa’s story is set in the world created in Captor, the previous book in this series. The author suggests reading Captor first for the full experience.
