Special Agent Abigail Fitzgerald had two problems. Her lifetime personal vendetta against dirty cops everywhere, and the ten-month-long undercover assignment she’d been working that was about to be tossed aside. All she needed to do was identify the local organized crime network and provide tangible proof, but that was so much easier said than done.
In a last-ditch effort to beat her deadline, Abigail bucked protocol and planted herself in front of one of the De Salvo’s rumored enforcers. Her informant said he was lethal, terrifying even. A few drinks in and her libido said he was perfect.
He was even better naked. But that was a major problem. All she could do at that point was run with it when he insisted he’d be seeing her again. She’d wanted to create a rapport…
Ryoma Sato had worked for the De Salvo family for six years. He worked hard, he’d earned his position in the family, and on the rare night off, he let himself unwind. That didn’t always mean with a woman, but he wasn’t about to complain about the rare beauty he’d found at the bar. In fact, he had every intention of keeping her around.
So when she called him saying she was being followed by a suspicious figure, he knew what to do. But if he thought he hadn’t been prepared for her to hand over a photograph of the very threat the De Salvos had been searching for for months, he was even less prepared for the secret she was about to drop on him…
