It was only supposed to be one night with a stranger I’d never see again.
I’m not the dating type.
Now, thanks to a little white lie we told that night, we’re pretending to be engaged for the sake of him saving face in front of his family.
The more time we spend together, the closer we get.
But I’m an Angel at Désirer—an exclusive adult club—my job is to be whatever men want me to be.
There’s no room for a relationship.
And with demons from my past still chasing me, the last thing I need is for a man like him to get tangled up with a woman like me.
It will only end badly.

From the second I met her, I wondered what she tasted like.
When she left my bed the morning after we met without so much as a goodbye, she left her mark on my soul.
After running into each other again at our best friend’s engagement party, I can’t stay away.
Not even when I find out she sells her body for money at an exclusive New York sex club.
Instead, I make her a deal she can’t refuse—pretend to be engaged for a few months for a generous sum of cash, then we’ll go our separate ways.
Our charade of love isn’t real, but with every day that passes, the more I feel like it could be.
We’re good at selling our lies. Now, I want to make it the truth.
