Jaded Alpha

I’ve been touring since I was seventeen.

But I didn’t hit it big until I was twenty. And ever since then I’ve been on the road two thirds of the year and in the studio the rest of the time, I need a break. So, I’ve moved to my mountain cabin for a whole year. No touring, no recording, only writing if anything comes to me. I need the rest. And the peace and quiet. Having to guess whether people were interested in me for myself or my star power was just too hard.
Six months in, I’m so bored, I don’t know what to do with myself. My songwriting has dried up, my friends are all busy on the road, and I am considering what to do when the letter arrives inviting me to a weekend at the Bearclaw Inn. I can use my real name and stay under the radar. It sounds fun…and maybe will give me a little time to decide what I want to do with the next six months.
The Bearclaw Inn is known for one thing. Franklin, the owner, has a gift for putting together fated mates, and when I walk in and meet the other guest who is there for the weekend, I know he’s the one. But later, after a very special and intimate moment, I realize that he’s not just good looking, smart, funny, and right for me. He’s a superstar traveling incognito. But, if so, how can he be my mate? Did Franklin goof this time? Or has Fate done me a solid. Superstar or not, this male is my mate.
