Sean was a wolf shifter who owned Howlers’ Bar and Grill in Angel’s Creek. His wife and newborn child had died in childbirth, and he had closed himself off to the possibility of ever loving again. That didn’t stop the crush I had on him, until I discovered he was a shifter – a member of the abominable race that killed my mother. My desire for the sexy, ruggedly handsome man turned to hate. Shortly after, I left town to go to college and start my new life.
Years later, I was excited to spend time with my brother and father at a ski resort until I spotted Sean. My father always reminded us that a shifter killed our mother and instilled the belief that all shifters were an abomination. It was a belief that I fully embraced, until an avalanche forced me to see Sean for the man he was.

Dad wasn’t the only problem. A series of mishaps and harsh storms threatened our lives. Two bear shifters, with evil intentions, were among our small group of survivors. Their helpful, charming demeanor had everyone fooled. They almost killed me and the unborn shifter baby who grew inside of me.
