Halloween is a great time to pretend. But Nate pretending he isn’t falling head over paws with his boss isn’t the kind of seasonal disguise he wants to wear.

But when they’re forced to spend time together at a scenic resort the week before his brother’s wedding, their friends won’t stop playing matchmaker. Seems they’re oblivious to the one thing Nate knows for sure–that he and Stella will never work.
So, he agrees to fake date Stella to get their friends off their backs, which seems like a solid plan. At least until things get stickier than a caramel-coated apple.
Because over outdoor adventures and moonlit nights Nate finds himself in danger of breaking his only rule–don’t fall for Stella.
But it’s too late. With Halloween around the corner and these romantic sparks flying, someone is going to get hurt. The last time, it was him. What if this time, the person he loves the most is the one person he can’t protect?
