New Rogue Pack gamma Caleb has finally found a decent alpha to follow and a group of shifters he is proud to protect. Having seen how losing his mother during whelping shattered his sire, he is determined to live his life only in service to others. He has no intention of giving his heart to a mate and pups. But his life is turned upside down when he spies a feral omega running loose on the pack lands.

Seth is a desperate omega struggling to survive. Puphood in his old pack taught him that his destiny was miserable servitude to whatever higher-ranking shifter ultimately claimed him. Running away seemed the better choice, except omegas are not meant to live on their own. A year of aimless wandering has left his life hanging by a thread.

Fate throws Caleb and Seth together. While they both try to cling to the lives they have embraced, they are about to learn that sometimes your path is chosen for you. Time is running out, and an old enemy may alter their futures forever.
