Performing in front of sold-out crowds is easy, but getting my six-month-old daughter to stop crying is almost impossible. I’m stranded in a parking lot after a disastrous swim lesson—keys lost, and on the verge of unraveling—when a stranger comes to my rescue. His competence fascinates me, and when I discover Nolan is a licensed childcare provider, it feels like fate. Now if I can just convince him to come on tour with us, I might be able to keep doing what I love and give Maddy the care she needs.

Even though I’m unimpressed by fame, I’ve somehow become charmed by music’s biggest star. A few weeks after I start taking care of Maddy, I overhear Amber’s cheating ex trying to persuade her to give him another chance, and I find myself agreeing to a ridiculous scheme to convince him that we’re dating. Before I know it, we’re navigating a relationship that becomes all too real. I’m happier than I’ve ever been, but when the world discovers Amber fell for her daughter’s nanny, the gossip is less than flattering, and I can’t help wondering if our love will survive the fallout.

She’s the Star is the second book in the Too Famous series and although it can be read as a standalone, Amber is introduced in Fourth and Long so you may enjoy it more if you start there!
