Left high and dry and deeply in debt by a con artist ex, the only way out is a job I swore I’d never do again. Manual labor. It is the opposite of my dream job, plus I don’t want my parents pressuring me to take over their tree farm. But the pay at Pine Ridge Prunery is good, as are the benefits. One of which is hella-sexy arborist Brad Calhoun. We make a good team—in more ways than one—but I plan for this job to be temporary while Brad’s angling to settle in for life. The last thing I need is to depend on another self-employed man for a job.
