Jason went through life, the last year of it, literally blind after an attack. It left him not only unable to see, but with a feeling like nothing was ever going to be good again. He wasn’t looking forward to the life he was leading. Abigail was going to change that, if he could get out of his head long enough to make it happen. His insecurities made it nearly impossible to bring the confidence he needed.
His confidence took a huge hit with another attack in his civilian life and Jason’s inability to defend himself. That made him start to wonder if a risky surgery with an even sketchier doctor that promised miracles was worth it.
Abigail had her own demons and just like Jason, she was trying to get through the damage of her miliary service. She was instantly struck with Jason, and Abigail quickly wanted to know more. His rugged good looks and build made her want to swoon. Abigail had never been with a man like Jason, but she wanted to know what it would be like. He made her want to try new things and when she did, Abigail would never be able to get enough.
Life wasn’t ever easy though and events changed Jason’s carefree nature. He wasn’t the same man and when he pushed Abigail away, she had to believe that he meant it. It was all she could do to move on, but a piece of Jason would always be with her.
