Colton Ray, a veritable music icon, appears to have it all. Yet, beneath the glitz and glamor, he’s spent years grappling with a profound sense of emptiness. Haunted by a heart-wrenching secret, he’s struggled in silence, even as the spotlight he’s grown to hate blazes around him.
Until an unexpected phone call upends Colt’s life as he knows it. Suddenly, he is thrown back into the orbit of Grayson Scott. His high-school sweetheart, the man whose absence has left a permanent Gray-shaped hole in his heart. Now, returning to their small hometown, Colt may finally be forced to confront the raw ache he’s kept buried for the past seven years.
As sparks fly between them once more, it becomes clear that time has done little to temper the intensity of his feelings for Gray. But as long-buried truths are revealed, they threaten to unravel the carefully constructed walls around Colt’s heart.

Haunted by the question of forgiveness, Colt grapples with the complexities of love and pain. Can he reconcile the longing in his heart with the scars of the past, or are some wounds too deep to heal, even when the person who caused them is your soulmate?
