Tegan is the newest member of the bounty hunter crew and a midwife for all the expecting females on board. As much as she loves her job and loves babies, she has no intention of ever being anyone’s mate. Even if the gold skinned Dothveks are gorgeous. Even if one of them does make her heart flutter.

One of the newest Dothvek crew members aboard the bounty hunting ship, Zaandr is not great around females. He has none of the swagger of the other sand planet barbarians—until he meets the ship’s new midwife Tegan. Despite her insistence that she has zero interest in a mate, he can’t help feeling like their meeting might be fate. Dothveks do have fated mates, after all. But he forgets one thing—fate isn’t always kind.

When Zaandr is assigned to escort Tegan on an unscheduled supply run in the Den of Thieves, neither of them expects that there are aliens on the planet seeking revenge against the Dothveks. When they find themselves on the run and stranded in a brothel with only one bed, can Tegan resist the pull of the Dothvek’s fate—and her own?
