Enemies become lovers, striving to unite their divided nations.

As a devoted guardian of Aeleftheria Nisi, Marli Fleetwing is determined to protect her people, find her missing friend and get her claws into the male dragon shifter that attacked their home.

After days of fruitless searching, she receives a message confirming that her friend is not only alive, but needs her to journey into the heart of the enemy’s mountain lair… to work with them?

Stenlen Flintail struggles to hold his male brethren together since his insubordination caused the dramatic succession that nearly fractured the mountain tribe. They’d been on the verge of uniting the male and female dragon shifters under the old king’s rule and now Sten fears that the new king will only bring them a future of a prolonged male-only lair and eternal loneliness.

So when the hot little dragoness that he’d tailed on a previous mission appears as the king’s guest and ordered to work with the new council, he’s both surprised by her purple-clawed attack and delighted at how fierce—and breathtaking she is.

As Marli and Stenlen are forced to work together as the eyes and ears of their monarchs, they realize that the fate of their people is in their hands and the hearts.
