“Not much.” I fist-bumped him before sitting down.

“I’ve rescheduled our meeting for tomorrow,” Shaun said. “Are you sure you’ll be able to make it?”

“Of course. Why wouldn’t I?”

“I don’t know. Maybe you’ll stop to help another stranded girl on the side of the road.” A smirk crossed his lips.

“What’s he talking about?” Grayson asked.

I sighed as I tipped the bottle to my lips and sipped my beer.

“I was driving down the highway and saw this woman standing on the side of the road. Her car broke down, so I stopped to help her.”

“Was she hot?” Simon asked.

“Unfortunately, she was. She was beautiful, stranded, and had a huge attitude. She refused to tell me her name at first but then caved when she had no choice but to let me drive her to the car rental shop.”

“What’s her name? Gabriel asked.

“Zoey. I asked her to have dinner with me, and she flat-out refused.”

“Damn.” Simon laughed. “You’d think she’d be grateful for you helping her out.”

“Maybe she’s married or has a boyfriend,” Conner said.

“No. She just moved here from Sacramento. She was on her way to her new apartment when her car broke down. When I asked her why she moved from Sacramento, she said she has big plans in Los Angeles.”

“Did you get a last name?” Simon asked. “I can see what I can find out about her.”

“Nah. It was like pulling teeth to get her first name.” I took a drink of my beer. “Whatever. I’ll probably never see her again. You guys should have seen her.” I shook my head with a smile. “She was gorgeous.”

“Looks like my brother is smitten.” Grayson grinned.

“Nah. I wouldn’t say that. But dinner and one night with her would have satisfied my curiosity.”

“What about that chick you brought home the other night?” Gabriel asked.

“What about her?” I glanced at him.

“Are you going to see her again?”

“No.” I chuckled. “She was a psycho. Before kicking her out, I poured her some coffee in a to-go cup, and she almost threw it in my face. She was pissed that I asked her to leave.”

“Been there, done that.” Sam laughed.

“All of us have.” Sebastian chuckled. “But aren’t you happy I suggested the to-go cups? At least you can be somewhat of a gentleman before kicking their asses out the door.”

“Don’t forget this Friday night is our gender reveal party.” Simon grinned. “I told Grace we don’t even need one because we already know it’s a boy.”

“Don’t be so sure about that, bro.” Stefan laughed.

“And don’t be a douchebag, bro.” Simon reached over and slapped the back of his head.

CHAPTER 6

Zoey

I was up early and finished unpacking before I had to meet with the realtor. My phone rang, and when I glanced at it, I saw it was the auto shop.
