"But my laptop bag does."

I perked up, making him chuckle in the process.

"I put one there the other day because I realised that if I'm dating you, then there are probably going to be other moments where we need one in a hurry."

"I like the way you think." I trailed my hand up his arm.

He leaned in and brushed his lips against mine. I pushed myself against him, already feeling the desire for more increasing.

I was dimly aware of a knocking sound, but assumed that we'd just bumped into something, and dismissed it.

"Damien, I...Oh, sorry."

I winced inwardly at the sound of Aine's voice.

Damien jumped backwards, an embarrassed expression on his face. I shuffled uncomfortably and got to my feet, straightening out my skirt and hoping against all hope that somehow the other goddess wouldn't be able to tell what had just been going on.

Which seemed unlikely given the fact that she was dating a god of fertility and pleasure, and she'd seen me in this position before.

"Okay, not what I expected," she sad, looking between us.

I grimaced. "Sorry."

She shrugged. "You're not the one on my payroll."

Damien flushed. "It won't happen again."

Aine sighed. "I'm sure it will. Just don't let anyone catch you." She shook her head. "And not every day. We've got work to do still."

He nodded, clearly relieved that she wasn't firing him on the spot.

"I take it that's a yes to working with Aphie on the auction, or did she not get to that part before you stuck your tongue down her throat?" Aine asked.

That wasn't all he stuck something in. I banished the thought and avoided meeting her gaze so she had no idea that I was even thinking it.

"Yes. That sounds good," Damien responded.

"Great, then the rest of this can wait until another time," she said. "I'm going to go and pretend I didn't see anything in a room far away from this one." She left, letting the door swing shut behind her.

"I'm sorry," I said to Damien.

"Not your fault," he responded. "You did say we should stop."

"I did. But I didn't want to."

"Then that makes two of us." He flashed me a charming grin. "Though maybe we should have just denied everything, said I was looking for something in your eye."

"Has anyone ever believed that line?"

"Probably not, but it might have been worth a shot."

"Or maybe not." I grimaced, realising he clearly had no idea that I'd slept with Aine before. "She knows what I look like when I...you know." I waved to the desk.

He groaned as the realisation sank in. "You've slept with my boss?"

"Isn't Min technically your boss?"

"All right, you've slept with my boss' boss?"
